Todd and Shannon’s story began back in 1994, when they met as interns at Marriott’s Tan-Tar-A Resort right here at the Lake of the Ozarks. What started as a shared love for hospitality quickly turned into something much more—a lifelong partnership built on hard work, laughter, and a passion for taking care of others.

Fast forward to the summer of 2020, and that passion led them to take a leap and follow a dream they had talked about for years; owning a bed and breakfast of their own. The moment they walked into the Garden House Bed and Breakfast and took in the breathtaking lake views, they knew they were home.

Today, Todd is the heart of the day-to-day experience, greeting guests, preparing homemade breakfasts, and making sure every room is just right. Shannon balances her full-time role with BWH Hotels while keeping everything running behind the scenes and adding her special touch to the property’s beautiful gardens.

Together, Todd and Shannon love creating a space where guests can slow down, relax, and feel truly at home. Whether it’s your first visit or your fifth, they look forward to welcoming you, sharing stories, and helping you make the most of your time at the lake.
